Christine Albert

Christine Albert is a Certified Financial Planner® at Assante Wealth Management.

Christine was born and raised in North Bay Ontario where she still lives with her husband and three children. She’s been with Assante Wealth Management for 16 years, and in an advisor role for the last 10. Her practice focuses mainly on financial planning for individuals and families. Her interest in financial planning for families with children with disabilities and the RDSP stems from helping her own sister and nephew with their planning. Her 15-year-old nephew has Bainbridge-Ropers syndrome and Autism. In guiding her own family, she realized the additional complexities that come with disability planning. She also quickly realized the benefits that having a trusted professional guide you can make.


Ron Malis, Reegan Financial

Ron Malis is the founder of Reegan Financial, a Toronto-based firm focused on financial advice and estate planning services for people with disabilities and their families.

Reegan Financial provides insurance and investment services to clients, the majority are parents of children with developmental disabilities as well as independent adults with disabilities, trustees of Henson Trusts, and guardians for people with disabilities.

Ron’s practise focuses entirely on working with clients who either have a disability, have a child or family member with a disability, and other supporting parties, such as those who are attorneys for property, legal guardians, and trustees of Henson Trusts (and other types of trusts). Mr. Malis is recognized for his understanding of the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP) and the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP). For more than a decade, Mr. Malis has been helping clients understand relevant aspects of ODSP and the RDSP as they consider financial and estate planning options.

Mr. Malis has an undergraduate degree from Trent University, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa, and his Master of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business. He is a licenced life insurance professional and investment advisor with 15 years in the financial sector. Before his current career in the financial sector, he worked in the healthcare sector, corporate consulting, and the not-for-profit sector.
