One of the first steps in financial planning for a person with a disability is applying for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC). The DTC helps reduce the amount of tax an individual or their caregiver will have to pay, and opens the door to other valuable credits and programs, including the new Canada Disability Benefit which rolled out in July 2025.

This UPDATED webcast will provide:

  • Critical information to help you better understand the Disability Tax Credit (DTC)
  • Guidance on how to apply for the DTC
  • Overview of the benefits of the DTC
  • Review of the DTC and the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP)
  • Review of the DTC and the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB)
  • Insights on the impact of a disability vs. diagnosis in eligibility for the DTC
  • Tips for completing the T2201 form

A live Q&A will follow the webcast.  The webcast will be recorded and made available following the live event for one month.

Dr. Wayne MacLeod
Wayne is a family physician with an interest in helping Canadians with disabilities apply for
the Disability Tax Credit. He started offering this service because so many Canadians are without a family doctor and has since learned that people applying for this important credit face a number of barriers and needless complications while trying to access it. He is very excited to be part of Benefits2, where he is helping people with their Disability Tax Credit application.
